Keep it flat. It won't look like a mess. That's for the long hair look. Looking at your other pictures with your short hair, personally i think you look much better with short back and sides :P anonymous Personally I don't think people with curly hair should bother with the emo style.

If you're afraid of your hairdresser like me and cut your own hair. Here is how. You need some basic tools first. A Sharp Object. Maybe a blade. Prefrably a rasor, small one. Okay the razor will be used to cut your sharp pointy fringe at an angle.

Start from the left or right however you want to do it and about half way down your forehead. Cut it whatever angle you want. Used the scissors to just trim down the sides of your hair and the top otherwise you will end up with the thickest, gayest and afrolikish hair.

Not too short. Juut trimmed. Same with the back. Comb it through and check your results. By: The guy that is a master at cutting emo hair 22 comments. I want to look emo, but not fully emo. Looks like I'm about a year late for this forum! I have super curly hair as well and it looked pretty cool with the front long and the back really short, I just straightened out the bangs every day.

From the front it was long and straight, then the back was like POW! I'm talking like 1" long in the very back and about 6"long in the front. I also think that short on one side and long on the other works with curly hair. The gradual sloping look in the back. Totally 80's, but would be rocking to have the colors change as they go around your head.

My next haircut is going to be random mullet. I'm stoked about that one! Oh Yeah! Curly hair is such an asset I wouldn't ever straighten it all. Just dye it a few wild colors, frizz it out, throw it over to the side.

Even have one side of your bangs longer then the other, and have it very choppy. Oh, you could even have it died in random streaks through out That's how I had mine done. It works well when you want to put in up, down, straighten, or what not.

Don't Cut It Short it looks allot worse! So i stick with it! Just leave it, my hair looks good curly and straight! Hope This Helps! It works wonders! I have super curly hair, and it made my hair pin straight and everytime it got humid i didn't have to worry about a thing! I've got super curly reddish hair and for so long I stuck with the "keep it long" thing. Keeping it long is almost as big a hassle as straightening it - I have got a wicked haircut that's all short at the back running to long at the front so I really push up the curls ate the back and pull them long at the front. I also highlighted my hair redder than it is.
